“The AGC™ is a safe, collaborative community for financial advisors to grow personally and professionally alongside their peers.“
The mission (see above) behind The AGC™ has attracted a group of financial advisors looking to make more of an impact on our profession (and the world) greater than building successful businesses to help their clients—there are individuals and families who desperately need help understanding the very basics of personal finance whom we can help.
It would be selfish to keep the knowledge and talent confined to the community. As a community, we can create content to address the lack of financial literacy and we can do so with some of the best and brightest advisors in the profession.
About six months into the community, I began to envision an AGC™ YouTube channel (you know I love video!) with content covering the basics of finance all the way to more complex topics. We’d start with the foundation and build over time. I put the idea out to the community and immediately had members commenting that they wanted in.
I’m excited to share with you the efforts of The AGC™—the official launch of The AGC™ YouTube channel and our first “series” Back To The Basics.
This series will walk viewers through the basics of personal finance. We have 12 videos as of the end of November 2020 and will begin recording and editing the next videos soon.
I’m so happy with the final edit of the videos. Each of the participating advisors recorded their video on their own, with their equipment, and some of them even pushed themselves outside their comfort zone by hopping in front of the camera—all to help people learn and gain a better understanding of their finances.
The AGC™ YouTube channel will continue to grow with more episodes in the Back To The Basics series and we will be adding other series to the channel.
One future series will be for individuals thinking about entering the profession and another will be for advisors just getting started. The knowledge in the community extends beyond financial planning—the community is filled with financial advisors with different experiences in the profession, in different stages of their careers, and plenty of “mistakes” we can help others avoid.
We realize it’s just as important to share our knowledge with the future of our profession as it is to help those outside the profession become better with their money.
As a community centered around collaborating with each other, we realize a rising tide lifts all boats and we’ll be better if we can help attract great people to the profession and help them succeed.
Ok, without further ado, I am excited to share The AGC™ YouTube channel. You can head over by clicking here.
While you’re on the channel be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss out on future videos and feel free to share the videos with anyone you think can benefit from seeing them.
