People stay. Then they stay some more.
The fair test of a community is whether its members are still around a year later. Ours are, and they run every kind of practice.
Half our members have been here four years or more.
The AGC started in 2019, so that’s most of our history. The calendar repeats, so the same people meet every month and learn each other’s practices well enough to be useful. New members start in a cohort, so you join alongside the advisors who started when you did.
How long members have been here
Counts of active member profiles in our community platform.
Every kind of practice, one shared habit of helping.
Here’s who tends to find us.
Advisors starting their own firm
Leaving a broker-dealer or a bigger shop to build something of their own. The Launch & Grow mastermind and a session on leaving a broker-dealer came straight out of this group.
Firm owners building a team
Hiring a first admin, sorting out compensation, bringing on a partner. One member found her business partner here.
Advisors trying a new fee model
AUM, flat fees, retainers, subscriptions, advice-only. Members compare what clients will pay for and what happened when they raised fees.
Advisors who serve a niche and advisors who are generalists
Retirement income, real estate investors, philanthropic planning, tax, or a bit of everything. Specialists find someone serving a niche close to theirs. Generalists get a bench of peers to ask when a client’s question falls outside what they see every day.
Advisors who show up in public
Newsletters, podcasts, YouTube, LinkedIn, two books. Members trade notes on what brings in clients and what only brings in likes.
Advisors at bigger firms
Owners and advisors at larger firms working out what comes next. Some want to keep scaling with more people and more structure. Others are redesigning toward a lifestyle practice with fewer clients and more time back.
In their words.
Joining The AGC was easily the best decision I could have made from a business perspective.
David RathThe AGC fills my need for intellectually curious peers. Now I have space, time, and a group of professionals to keep me honest and growing. I think this community is perfect for financial advisors who are open to change, growth, and personal disruption.
Melissa J.I found my business partner through The AGC.
Stephanie McCulloughThere’s always something new to do. I think if you don’t belong to a community that’s sharing ideas, you could easily go stale. AGC keeps me motivated to keep building.
Cathy C.The AGC was a no-brainer to continue to learn, grow, and perfect my craft.
Nisiar SmithI really love watching all of the other members help each other. When someone throws out a question or has a problem, so many other members are willing to jump in.
Jessica D.Taylor is a wealth of knowledge and his monthly office hours have been instrumental in learning how to effectively market my firm. Having access to his brain and the ability to learn alongside others is worth the price of membership alone!
Brett K.A good fit is a lifelong learner who’d rather give than take.
- Licensed financial advisors. We welcome every designation, fee structure and career stage.
- Advisors who want honest feedback, accountability and connection, without the noise of social media.
- People with an abundance mentality who are respectful, generous, and more interested in giving than taking.
